Towns we cover from Smyrna

The shop is in Smyrna and we work out from there across Rutherford, Williamson, Davidson and Wilson counties.

We're based in Smyrna, so Smyrna and La Vergne are the closest work and where most of the rotation sits. From there we run out to Murfreesboro, up through Nolensville toward Brentwood and Franklin, into Oak Hill, Forest Hills and Nashville, and east to Lebanon. Somewhere in that stretch? Call and give us the address.

Smyrna and La Vergne

Home ground. A lot of Smyrna and La Vergne is subdivision housing on lots that got graded and sodded the week the house went up, which means shallow topsoil sitting on packed clay. Water doesn't soak in the way people expect. It runs across the top and pools at the low corner, and that low corner is where the turf goes thin and the weeds move in first.

The mower matters too. Cut a fescue lawn too short on thin soil in June and you cook the crowns. By mid July you're looking at bare patches that crabgrass will happily take over. We keep the deck up on fescue through the heat and take less off each visit. Slower to look dramatic. Much better for the lawn in August.

Murfreesboro, Nolensville and Lebanon

Bigger lots on average out here, and the jobs change with them. More fence line to trim, longer drives and walks to edge, and often a bed line running the whole front of the house. Trimming and edging is where the time actually goes on a property that size, and it's the part that shows most when somebody skips it.

Older properties around Lebanon and the edges of Murfreesboro tend to have mature trees, which hands you shade turf problems. Thin grass. Moss in the damp corners. Leaves through the fall that mat down and smother what's left if they sit there. Those yards get treated as shade lawns, not as sun lawns with a tree in them.

Brentwood, Franklin, Oak Hill, Forest Hills and Nashville

The Williamson and Davidson County work runs detail heavy. Established beds with real plant material in them, stone edging, slopes that need a trimmer instead of a mower, and homeowners who notice the line where the bed meets the turf. That line is the whole thing. A cut edge kept clean makes an average yard read as kept, and a mulched bed with a blurry edge looks unfinished no matter how good the mulch is.

Slope is the other factor out this way. Hillside lots shed water fast, so mulch washes down toward the drive in a hard summer storm and the beds lose depth every year. We set those beds lower at the front edge and mulch to a depth that has a chance of staying put.

We hired Mr Green to maintain our 2 houses in Nashville/Salem Town and he did an amazing job getting these places back in order. His attention to detail is unmatched. We have had several companies out here and Mr Green has done the best job so far. Highly recommend for lawn cutting, we will probably hire him for his other services in the near future.

Mr. Green and his crew worked on our front beds and shed area in our yard. He cleared out our beds, took away large rock and leveled our beds to make it easier to plant and fill in the future. I will 100% hire him again for anything yard related we need assistance on. He's very professional but also a people person. I enjoyed our interaction!
